A 45-minute class for 3 & 4 years old. The structure of a classroom environment is introduced and the children learn to take simple direction from the teacher. Children gain body awareness and begin to master group work, for example, moving in a circle or working with partners. Musicality and rhythm are taught through clapping, singing and improvising to music. Creative imagery, mime and props are used to help the children respond to music. Basic movement themes such as; jumping, balletic walks/runs, spinning and skipping are explored as an introduction to classical ballet.
Ages 5-6. Beginner Level. Progressing from Creative Movement, children now learn to work in lines and on the diagonal. Basic movement themes such as; jumping, balletic walks/runs, spinning and skipping are explored as an introduction to classical ballet. Students continue to work with partners to facilitate a sense of teamwork. Barre and center work are introduced, as ballet technique is given emphasis in this class.
Ages 7-8. Level 1 introduces students to the foundations of barre work in order to develop proper alignment and classical technique. Students continue to work on traveling steps with an introduction to grand allegro. At this level an emphasis is placed on turning, jumping, and linking steps. Introductory character work and free movement study provide students with an avenue for self-expression and performance style. Students are expected to show awareness of basic technique, appropriate timing and musicality.
Ages 9-10 with 2-3 years of experience– Level 2 students are given similar structure to Level 1 students with an increased expectation of proper technique and musicality. Students will focus on building the strength, flexibility and control needed to execute ballet moves. Each class will emphasize barre exercises and will also include a challenging combinations of center floor work and across-the-floor combinations.
Ages 11-up. Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms and will maximize technique and longevity in a career of dance. It provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Students are taught proper body placement, body alignment, barre and center floor work, along with across the floor combinations.
Ages 11-up. En pointe (pointe) means "on the tips of the toes" and is a part of classical ballet technique. Pointe technique encompasses both the mechanical and artistic aspects of pointe work. In particular, it is concerned with body alignment, placement of the feet, and the manner in which a dancer transition to and from on pointe. Students at the intermediate levels of ballet that have attained suitable strength and technique must technically qualify and have instructor approval prior to joining the pointe class.

A free-flowing form of dance with elements of modern, jazz, ballet, lyrical and styles unique to itself. This class encourages natural movement and personal interpretation. It focuses on self-expression, awareness of space and body movement, use of body weight, efficiency of muscle use and body alignment.
Kids Hip Hop Level 1, Level 2 and Teen Hip Hop is a high-energy class that will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore, class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.
Ages 5-up. An introductory class which the student will learn the basic elements of flamenco dance technique, including braceo (armwork), floreo (handwork), colocacion (body placement/alignment) taconeo (heelwork or footwork), vueltas (basic turns) and palmas (hand clapping). The student will enjoy, work, think, and increase their self-confidence while learning to use their bodies to express characters and emotions.
Ages 9-11. This level class covers flamenco basic technique with an emphasis on mastering the critical relationship between baile (the dance), toque (The music), and cante (singing). The class focuses on exercises for footwork, flamenco turns, body posture, movement and coordination and end with a short choreography, taking the student beyond the steps to incorporate style and expression. This class will continue developing skills, learning terminology and steps. Student will be introduced into various “palos”.
Ages 11-up (once completed Levels 1 and 2) For students who have developed a strong solid flamenco technique and can manage a fast-challenging class. This class focuses on faster and more intricate footwork. The dancer at this level will develop speed, clarity, dynamics, and the ability to execute to complex rhythmic combinations. Throughout the year, the students will be introduced to both 12 and 4 count rhythm palos or dance styles, including Solea, Solea por Bulerias, Bulerias, Tangos and Rumba.
Ages 9-up. The student will work in the correct use of Abanicos and Pericones (fans), Mantones (shawls), Bastones (Flamenco canes) and Castanets (Castanuelas)danced by Palos del Flamenco such as Alegrías, Guajiras, Tango and Polirritmias. As a dancer progresses on her flamenco journey, these props are creatively added to the mix. As if keeping the rhythmic timing of body, arms, and feet isn’t hard enough, we also learn how to integrate these beautiful but tricky dance accessories with our movements. This will add an extra sense of technique, elegance, musicality and visual appeal.
The Abanico, Pericon, Manton de Manila or Manton regular, cane and castanets will be used during these lessons
Ages 7-10 ,The student will learn basic footwork, patterns, turns and technique. Salsa basics cover balance, posture, upper/lower body coordination, arm movement, hip movement, weight transfer, connection, and developing frame. This class is all about the foundation.
*Approved by Instructor* Ages 9-up - This class builds upon the Beginner class- you must be accepted into this class by your instructor when you prove you can do: focus on the details of symmetry, spotting, spatial awareness, creating healthy resistance and developing your frame. Salsa Intermediate represents working on more challenging and technical aspects of the resistance moves in Salsa. We will learn many variations of Copas, Cross Body Leads and Snap Backs as well as expanding moves from Salsa Beginner.
This is the place to start! No previous dance experience is necessary. Learn the basics of Salsa (On 2) starting with the footwork and progressing on to some basic turns with simple variations. The combination of great Salsa music and easy to understand moves make this class a lot of fun!
Ages 5-7. Kids Hip Hop/Jazz 1 Combo is an exciting and challenging class that reviews the basics and works the disciplines of jazz while incorporating the fun and upbeat feel of hip hop! This class is designed to keep the dancers moving and engaged while having fun and learning the discipline and joy of dance.
Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz to help develop a well-rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations.
